Our church announced the Region Wide call during service only 1 day before it was to occur. (I live on the Peninsula, so we have church on Fridays.) Even with such short notice, I was able to meet and pray with two other women from my congregation during the RWcall late the next night. We prayed for all of the people groups who are here without a Gospel witness in their area or in their language. There are very many of these and we only knew a few of them by name, but God knows all.

I agree with SouthAfrican sister, above. We met with 4 others to pray and it went on for 4 hours. We covered a lot of ground, but the most recurrent thing that kept coming up was our own relationship with God as believers. Some of us were in tears of repentance for not being the witnesses we could be while we are here. A lot of prayer against fear went up. Fear of losing our jobs, fear for our families who are here with us, fear for other believers associated with us, fear of getting in trouble with the government, fear of deportation or imprisonment. We can’t let fear run our lives and make our decisions. But we can’t just walk out there and start proclaiming Jesus either. That wouldn’t last very long in this neck of the woods. We have to actually depend on the Holy Spirit to show us how, when, and where He wants to do what. It puts us in a place of complete dependence on Him. And that is no doubt exactly where He wants us anyway. We also think that once we decide we’re going to obey Him no matter what He tells us to do, then He’ll start telling us. That’s when the big stuff is going to happen. Personally, I want to be 100% on board with that.

My family & I got to pray with several small groups here during the course of the 24 hours, and some people from my home church in another country prayed with us by skype, too. I also spent some time in the word & prayer alone, and I believe God is going to use small, simply done Bible studies as a catalyst in our area. I’ll be getting together with others who are already doing it, to learn from them. Pray God will give us wisdom of how to go about this, and that we will only do exactly what His Spirit shows us so that we will be and stay in the perfect place of His will.

It was an honor to be told about this and to be a part of it. I am privileged even to be hanging out with believers in the AP. You guys are awesome. And our God is totally awesome!

I stayed up almost the whole 24 hours and dedicated the day to prayer, worship, repentance and intercession. God is so good. What a cleansing, rich and powerful time. Most of the time was alone, but you won’t believe it—God sent me a Messianic Jew to pray with!
